I love shoes. You'd never know it by looking in my closet as I only own a few pair. But I have a love for all of them, and some I've owned for years.  I've polished them, re-soled them, and bought new laces. I don't dare throw them away for that would be the ultimate betrayal, because they deserve the next adventure as much as I do.
